ENERGY WORK

The seven chakras are the main energy centres of the body. When all our chakras are open, energy can run through them freely, allowing harmony to exist between the physical body, mind, and spirit. These Chakras correspond to specific nerve bundles and internal organs. In its literal translation, Chakra means “wheel” in Sanskrit, and it can be beneficial to imagine them like wheels of free-flowing positive energy that travel around your body.

Chiropractic

Chiropractic treatment is a procedure that requires a trained professional to use hands on manipulation to adjust the musculoskeletal system. This includes the adjustment of bones, joints, and muscles, involving safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation. This is to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly or working as they should do.

By using the hands to manipulate and restore the spine to a healthier alignment, pressure is relieved from the nerves of the spine, allowing them to supply every part of the body without blockage or friction. Once the restoration of the stability, mobility and alignment of the spine has been achieved, then all the other functions in the body can work towards re-balance. My style of Chiropractic treatment is fully focused on helping others, no matter their current situation, to look forward to a brighter, fuller future where their health isn’t holding them back.

As part of your Chiropractic treatment and assessment, I will seek to discover more about your health history, general lifestyle and environment. Following that, your posture and gait will be analysed alongside orthopaedic and neurological testing and assessment. It’s my belief that mindset can be one of the most powerful healers, therefore any recommended treatment will always be suggested as a minimum and secondary to the wider, contributing elements that clients can do to empower themselves on the road to recovery. This is to ensure that no one is co-dependent on treatment, and everyone is given has the right tools to drive their own recovery forward.

Craniosacral
Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique that uses touch to examine membranes and movement of fluids around the central nervous system. Correct treatment releases fascia (tissue) by prompting the body to correct, realign and reorganise itself. As the areas of fascial restriction release, clients experience a decrease or removal of pain, an increased range of motion and mobility, plus an enhanced functional energy. Relieving tension in the central nervous system in this way promotes a feeling of wellness and wholeness throughout the entire body. By eliminating pain and restoring functionality, Craniosacral Therapy is the ideal and complimentary treatment to get energy shifting and flowing through the body, opening up the meridian pathways.

Massage

Massage is a key treatment method that is rooted in the ideals of holistic restorative healing. Reliant on a deft and intuitive touch, massage works hard to identify trigger points in common problem areas of the musculoskeletal system. By using massage in combination with other restorative methods, recovery and maintenance of many physical and emotional ailments can be greatly aided due to the relaxation of the muscles and the combating of deep tissue problems that this treatment provides.

Acupuncture

Dry needling involves the insertion of very thin needles into your skin at strategic points in your body. Occasionally, acupuncture can be used to treat sports injuries, as well as provide a general relaxation and stress relief therapy for a client. In addition, acupuncture often acts as a much-needed extra pair of hands. For example, while Polly is focusing on treating the neck and shoulders with her hands, a knee injury can be treated and supported simultaneously via acupuncture needles.

Nutrition

What we put into our body is extremely important when it comes to physical, emotional and spiritual health. Utilising years of experience and expert insight and understanding of nutrition and supplementation, Polly is able to make recommendations that can really complement many other restorative treatments and greatly aid further healing and balance within the body.

Emotional and Physiological Therapy

Traumatic experiences, emotional distress and inner conflict can be caused, or aggravated by, energetic blockages in the system. It is in our chakras where we tend to store, permeate on and supress emotions. There are seven main chakra centres aligned along the spinal column, so if there is any kind of disruption within the energetic flow of the body, it will show in the chakra’s stability. Each chakra is connected to a specific part of the body, for example you will hear people talk about matters of the heart, their gut feelings, and being choked up with emotion these feelings will cause dis-ease in the body which manifests itself physically. When a chakra is blocked, it is usually felt on a mental, emotional and / or physical level. By utilising emotional and physiological therapy, chakras can be realigned, and energy flow increased. The more energy we enable to let flow around the body, the healthier we are as a whole.
